Mathematics for JEE Advanced
Hi, in this post, I will describe how I prepared Mathematics for JEE Advanced.
Mathematics was always my favourite subject, since childhood. I used to solve Mathematics books of one or two classes higher(like if I was in class 5 I solved class 7 books). This helped me to learn concepts early and build a good foundation.
In classes 9 and 10, I practiced some basics like logarithms, basic differentiation, basic integration, along with the class 9 and 10 normal syllabus. I solved coaching material, which had around 30% questions of JEE Mains level, which helped in building basics.
In class 11, my main JEE Preparation started. I followed online lectures of my coaching teachers. When a chapter was completed, I solved its coaching module and JEE Advanced archive(containing PYQs). This was the general pattern I followed for each chapter.
As it was covid times, school was online, and obviously I bunked the online classes. I had a lot of extra time on my hands. So I solved a few reference books as well.
My books:
1. FIITJEE coaching material-Chapterwise modules, workbooks, GMP(Grand Master's Package)
2. Arihant Co-ordinate Geometry
3.Arihant Trigonometry
4.Arihant Algebra
5. Arihant Differential Calculus
6. Arihant Integral Calculus
7. Vector 3D Cengage
8. Vikas Gupta's black book
9. Sameer Bansal Calculus(This one is a must do if you want to master calculus).
10. Sameer Bansal 1000 Problems
11. Archive(JEE Advanced mostly)
I did not solve all the problems in all the books, but I solved most of the harder questions in all of the books. If I needed more help in some concept, then I solved basic problems first and only then moved on to tougher ones.
To revise, I resolved the marked questions(which I could not do earlier) and some of the harder problems. I also gave plenty of mock tests(FIITJEE AITS)-a must do for any serious aspirant. I solved Advanced pyqs several times-once during syllabus coverage, once before JEE Mains and also before JEE Advanced. One thing to note about FIITJEE AITS- The papers are really hard. The Mains papers are sometimes of the level of JEE Advanced. Advanced AITS often has very lengthy and difficult problems. After looking at the level of JEE Advanced 2022, I advise all JEE Advanced aspirants to give FIITJEE AITS, as the level of questions is really good.
Thank you for reading.

Can you please write same for physics and chemistry?
ReplyDeleteApologies for not writing such a post for Physics and Chemistry, as I got too busy with college. My first semester gets over on March 1, so you can expect the posts by the 2nd or the 3rd of March.
DeleteWill do so shortly
