Physics for JEE Advanced

Hi, in this post, I will describe how I prepared Physics for JEE Advanced. My relation with Physics was rather peculiar. I liked the subject but got relatively low scores in it(compared to Mathematics). So I felt rather irritated with the subject at times. I solved the following material for Physics: 1. Coaching material: Includes modules, workbooks and FIITJEE GMP(partially). 2. DC Pandey Mechanics I and II 3. Cengage Electrostatics and Current Electricity 4. Cengage Optics and Modern Physics 5. Cengage Magnetism and Electromagnetic Induction 6. Physics Galaxy Advanced Illustrations 7. Archive- JEE Advanced last 41 years questions I did not solve all the problems in all the books- if you feel a particular question is too simple, like it can be solved just by substitution of values or it is based on some simple concept then you may skip it. Do make sure you spend at least 80% of your time solving "tough" problems- problems of at least JEE Advanced level. If you can solve them...

Mathematics for JEE Advanced

Hi, in this post, I will describe how I prepared Mathematics for JEE Advanced. Mathematics was always my favourite subject, since childhood. I used to solve Mathematics books of one or two classes higher(like if I was in class 5 I solved class 7 books). This helped me to learn concepts early and build a good foundation. In classes 9 and 10, I practiced some basics like logarithms, basic differentiation, basic integration, along with the class 9 and 10 normal syllabus. I solved coaching material, which had around 30% questions of JEE Mains level, which helped in building basics. In class 11, my main JEE Preparation started. I followed online lectures of my coaching teachers. When a chapter was completed, I solved its coaching module and JEE Advanced archive(containing PYQs). This was the general pattern I followed for each chapter. As it was covid times, school was online, and obviously I bunked the online classes. I had a lot of extra time on my hands. So I solved a few reference ...

My JEE Story

Image
Welcome to my first post! In this I will describe my JEE preparation journey. This will be a long post, grab something to eat! I do not exactly remember when I was introduced to IIT. When I was in class 3, there used to be these SOF olympiads in subjects like Science, Maths, English and Computer. I used to perform decently in those. For example, I got a state rank 4 and international rank 47 in IMO in class 3. Eventually I got a few gold medals at state level. I missed international medals narrowly 2 or 3 times. That was my first taste of competition. I liked Maths from my childhood. I was above average in Science as well. So I used to prepare for these olympiads, never studied too much for school but performed well. Our school suddenly stopped the conduction of these olympiads when I entered class 7. This was a very sad moment for me. I loved studying and competing in competitions. So I started looking for other exams, and I gave a bunch of other exams like FIITJEE entrance tests and ...
